Setra Bus Receives Top Standard Coach of the Year Award

This year’s edition of the UK Coach Rally saw the right hand drive Setra S 415 GT-HD coach fitted with a disabled person’s lift take the “Top Standard Coach of the Year” award.The winning vehicle belongs to Galloway European Coachlines, which is based in Stuffolk and operates travel & schools coach services, with a fleet of 50 coaches.

The Setra S 415 GT-HD is the latest addition to the company’s fleet, having been acquired at the end of last year and fitted with a Hidrel Global 300 disabled person’s lift. The vehicle is the first Setra in Great Britain to be fitted with this type of equipment.

"We would like to congratulate Galloway on the victory at the UK Coach Rally, and are extremely pleased that the company was able win this competition with a Setra coach," said Lothar Holder, head of Setra coach sales for EvoBus GmbH.

The 2010 UK Coach Rally, one of the country’s top couch trade events took place this for the first time in the industrial town of Peterborough (Cambridgeshire), involving a total of 59 vehicles belonging to multiple manufacturers. This year's edition was the 57th in the event's history.

The managing director of Galloway, David Cattermole, is both thrilled and delighted to have received this award for the "Top Standard Coach". He considers this prize, which is widely recognized in Great Britain, to be a reflection of the high quality of Setra coaches,” stated the press release.
