A Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 owned by Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne raised $175,000 (€134,680) for charity at a Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach late last week.
The car was acquired by Miles Nadal, an avid car collector, while the money will go to the United Way of Southeastern Michigan, a charitable group led by Sergio Marchionne himself.
Getting back to the Challenger sold this weekend, the special SRT prepared version is painted in a mean-looking Pitch Black with Dark Charcoal racing stripes and sports Mopar smoked taillights, 392 Hemi badges, and matte black 20-inch wheels.
Under the hood, this menacing musclecar boasts 470 HP and 470 lb-ft of torque from a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine coupled with a close ratio six-speed manual transmission. The car features a custom Mopar exhaust and cylinder shut down technology which allows it to offer up to 23 miles per gallon on the highway.
But the owner can juice the vehicle up a bit, as Mopar also included a Gen III 7.0-liter Hemi V8 powerplant that's good for 540 horsepower and 530 lb-ft of torque. Sounds like Mr. Nadal is in for a lot of fun!
