The Series 4 EV is a powerful Level 2 (240V) charging station that brings the best SemaConnect features to home users. According to the manufacturer, the station is equipped to charge any type and brand of electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle, from Tesla or Rivian to the Ford F-150 Lightning and the Chevy Bolt, to name just a few. It is all possible thanks to the included 25-ft cable and J-1772 plug, which is compatible with all of the above.

With a flexible configuration, the SemaConnect Series 4 comes with amperage settings ranging from 16 to 50A. It boasts of delivering a range of up to 37 miles (approximately 60 km) per charging hour.

Since the station is supposed to make life easier for EV owners, allowing them to recharge their vehicles in the privacy of their homes, the Series 4 ships are pre-assembled with a wall-mount bracket. All you have to do is place it in your home garage or wherever it is that you’re planning to use it.

With a compact and modern design, the home charging station can be used both indoors and outdoors as it is weatherproof. It comes with a bright, easy-to-read OLED display. The Series 4 is WiFi-enabled and the dedicated mobile app allows you to schedule a charging session, lock the station, and more. SemaConnect also promises to add Alexa Voice Control in the future.

You can get the Series 4 EV home charging station in NEMA 14-50 electrical plug or hard-wired options, with both of them being priced at $700. The home charger is now available for pre-order on the company’s website but SemaConnect says it also plans to add it on Amazon soon. Shipping is scheduled to start in December.
