When Selena Gomez was humming Sia’s Chandelier song, there were a couple of things done right that I saw. First, the vehicle was parked. Secondly, she was sitting in the passenger’s seat. Thirdly, she can sing. We’re not saying the young pop artist is the best around, but looking at these wanna-be amateurs using a selfie stick and almost crashing tells a lot about young drivers these days.
The reason the two couples in the car below got out of the incident unharmed is probably luck. That and also the fact the vehicle was not going very fast when things went wrong, apparently. Judging by the video description, one of the tires blew out during a singalong. It seems the driver loses control for a second but the car eventually stops without crashing.

You could always brag that a flat tire at 70 mph would be a problem for any driver out there no matter how focused he was. But we’re quite sure a selfie stick flying around the car won’t help. The driver can clearly be seen looking at the camera on and off, which means he gets distracted by it.

The question still stands, should selfie sticks be allowed in driving vehicles? Heck, should selfies exist in a moving car at all? Some believe it’s a thing youngster do that qualifies as distracted driving and could be as dangerous as anything else in that category. However, we have to appreciate the fact everybody is wearing a seat belt.

It sure feels like everybody wants to be famous these days, and it’s starting to be annoying, I can tell you this much.
