If you are not familiar with what Toyota does in its spare time, we’ll inform you that the automaker is working on an experiment involving a man and a robot in space.
Kirobo is the first humanoid robot that will have a conversation with a human in space as he will embark on a rocket that will send him to the International Space Station on August 4th. He will then wait for JAXA astronaut Koichi Wakata to arrive somewhere in autumn and start the experiment.
The little robot is the result of the collaboration between Toyota, RCAST and Robo Garage. Wile the automaker came with a speech recognition software, the other two companies made the hardware and gave his form. See the teaser video bellow.
