Security Camera Footage Shows Museum Sinkhole Swallowing Rare Corvettes

Yesterday we brought you news of a huge sinkhole that formed in the National Museum in Bowling Green, swallowing no less than eight rare Chevrolet Corvettes.

The museum has yet to announce what exactly caused the incident, but released security camera footage showing the moment when the crater formed in the Skydome area.

A few hours later, the NCM also published a few aftermath videos taken from a remote-control helicopter. The latter show a severed black 1962 Corvette with several body cracks, a wrecked Ruby Red 1993 model and a blue 2009 ZR1 that was on loan from General Motors.

A second fourth-generation Corvette, a 1993 ZR-1 Spyder that was also on loan from GM, is almost completely buried in rubble. Watch the videos after the jump and stay tuned for more details.
