Making pretty clear the fact that they are committed to the advantages of being present on what is already the largest automotive market in the world, Daimler AG just announced that the second ever Mercedes-Benz Museum will be built in the “Middle Kingdom”.
Hubertus Troska, who is Daimler's board Member for Greater China, announced at an event that Daimler AG is planning to build a Mercedes-Benz Cultural Center in Beijing, which will also include the museum as a core element.
The building will apparently feature a striking architecture, in line with the original Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, which has won a number of major architectural prizes when it was launched back in 2006 - along with drawing in more than five million visitors until today.
Mercedes-Benz are a little behind their two main competitors on the Chinese market, since they saw its potential a bit later then Audi and BMW, but starting with 2013 they have really started an onslaught of investments in China.
