Second Hypercar Trio Clash Video Is Coming, this Time with Chris Harris and Tiff Needell – Video

The hypercar trio that is making the rounds these days is made up for three incredible cars that sit at the top of the food chain for now: McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, and Porsche 918 Spyder. Unfortunately, we’ve never seen a proper showdown between the three so far because Ferrari is simply afraid of the outcome.

Yes, I said it and everyone knows it, but they’re just too scared to admit it. Ferrari is the one to blame for all of this postponing and all these rumors about which one is fastest. If you’ve been reading our news in the last couple of months, then you already know that the McLaren and Porsche went head to head already and the win went to the 918 Spyder. Back then Ferrari refused to provide a car for an honest comparison from Randy Pobst.

That’s not the only occasion when the Ferrari people acted like cowards, though. The whole thing started on Top Gear when the guys wanted to test all three cars on their circuit but were refused by Porsche and Ferrari.

While Porsche’s claim that it wouldn’t be fair because the P1 was developed on the Top Gear track, Ferrari simply refused and not only that but they also threatened the owners of their LaFerrari hypercar to send in their own cars. Then they changed their minds and said that they will only allow the showdown to happen on a different track and with a factory car. That, again, wouldn’t be fair because factory cars are usually tuned to achieve better results than customer cars.

A while back though, the trio that used to be Top Gear posted a photo on Twitter from filming, in which all three cars were shown on the track, hinting at the fact that they finally got them all together to see which is faster. Great news for us!

Chris Harris, though, not wanting to be outshined, managed to get the same three cars for himself and two ‘extra special guests’ to do something similar most likely. The man just published a teaser on his Youtube channel and we’re all now watching it on repeat until the real deal comes on.

He just mentioned two special guests that will be driving two of the cars, but he didn’t specify who they were. One of them is clearly Tiff Needell as we know the charismatic presenter of Fifth Gear too well by now. However, the second man seems to be Dario Franchitti, a former 4 time IndyCar Series champion and 3 time Indy 500 winner. That being said, we’re in for some serious driving here…
