Second 2010 Porsche Design Collection for Men Launched

Porsche Design announced the launch of the second 2010 spring/summer fashion collection, which will become available worldwide from the end of this month in Porsche Design and franchise stores. The new collection focuses on leather jackets, with the most exclusive piece being produced in a limited edition run of 100.

The limited edition leather jacket stands out thanks to the use of hard-wearing and light leather with a paper-like appearance and perforation in the shoulder, sleeve and torso area. The other leather jackets in the range also feature elaborate details, such as the soft napped goatskin lining in the field jacket.

“Leather has been in fashion for decades. So it fits in perfectly with our timeless and purist design standards”,
Juergen Gessler, CEO of the Porsche Design Group, said in a release. “Porsche Design does not follow any trend, but always sets its own accents. Our customer's feedback on our first collection designed entirely in our studio in Zell am See was consistently positive. With the new line, we will exceed even these high expectations.”

The collection is completed with a series of fashion classics, such as a sporty cardigan in exclusive merino wool or an elegant blazer made of cotton. The t-shirt No.1, available in black or white, features the Porsche Design exclusive sunglasses from 1978 printed on the front.

“The fact that the products showcase top quality hand workmanship and intelligent designs is reflected in the perfect fit. The clear, masculine product range and the classic sporty design appeal to every age group and ensure that the fashion collection is unmistakable at the very first glance,” a company statement reads.
