Sebastian Vettel was a forced to be reckoned with, during the qualifying session held today for the Japanese Grand Prix, held around the Suzuka track. It is his fourth consecutive pole in the Japanese GP, a real achievement.
Starting behind him, in second place, is Vette’s Red Bull team mate, Mark Webber, who was two tenths slower than the German. Jenson Button was due to start third, but he has been penalized for a gearbox change, and will start five spots down, in eight place.

Starting third will be Kamui Kobayashi, followed by Romain Grosjean and Sergio Perez. The current
championship leader Fernando Alonso will start off in sixth position, followed by Kimi Raikkonen, who took a little detour into the grass at Spoon Curve.

Michael Schumacher only managed a disappointing 13th place, while Felipe Massa came in 10th, ahead of Paul di Resta and Pastor Maldonado. It will be interesting to see if Fernando Alonso can make up the deficit, and win enough points to maintain, or even increase the good lead he has built up over his opponents.
