SEAT Unveils Pricing for Leon, Altea and Altea XL LPG

Spanish carmaker SEAT launched the Leon, Altea and Altea XL with LPG, each of this model being especially designed for people who are looking for lower fuel consumption figures and reduced CO2 emissions. The cars are equipped with a 1.6-liter engine developing 102 horsepower but also feature an LPG unit mounted straight by the company at the Spanish plant in Martorell.

Each of the aforementioned models, if equipped with an LPG option, would qualify for a 1,500 euro incentive.

According to autoblog.it, the price different between the gasoline version and the LPG is about 2,050 euro. Specifically, the Altea LPG is priced between 19,790 and 21,165 euro, while the Altea XL comes with prices tags ranging in between 20,655 and 21,925 euro.

Obviously, fuel consumption and emission figures are different as compared to the gasoline version. For instance, the average fuel consumption for the Altea is 9.8 liters per 100 km while releasing 159 grams of CO2 every kilometer. The Leon burns up to 9.5 liters of LPG per 100 kilometer while emissions stand at 153 g/km.

The new SEAT Leon and Altea were displayed by the Spanish parent company at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show.

The two models are boasting several new features, as it follows: new grille with smaller SEAT logo, larger headlights, restyles wheel rims, reshaped door mirrors and larger rear mirror for improved visibility. The interiors have been enhanced with refreshed instrument panel, enhanced central console and door panel trims, “resulting in a modern, ergonomic passenger compartment," as the company explained in a release.
