Last week, we gave you a leaked image that showed the SEAT Mii, the Spanish carmaker’s reinterpretation of the VW Up. Now, the city car has officially arrived, with SEAT releasing the complete info and photo gallery of the vehicle.
Like we said, the tech side of the car will be identical with that of the VW Up, as well as with the Skoda Citigo, which means that we’ll get a choice of two petrol 1.0-liter three-cylinder engines developing 60 and 75 hp and emitting 105 and 108 grams of CO2 per km, respectively. An ecomotive version will also be offered, with this using features such as start-stop and regenerative braking to cut the CO2 emissions 97g/km.

As for the gearbox, buyers will be able to choose between a manual one, and an automated manual one, which relies on two electric motors to change gears. The vehicle will be offered in three trim levels, with two equipment levels available.

Even though this is an entry-level vehicle, it will come with interesting optional extras, such as the City Safety Assist system, which comes with a laser that detects vehicles in front and applies the brakes if the driver fails to do so, as well as the Seat Portable System, which is a portable 50inch multimedia device , which can be used as a on-board computer and be integrated into the vehicle’s audio system.

The SEAT Mii will enter the Spanish market next month and arrive in European showrooms next spring, with the car expected to have a starting price of around EUR9,000 (USD12,400).
