Based on what it's done for the Spanish brand so far, we have no anxiety calling the new Leon the best SEAT made in the last two decades. But while the standard hatch is a joy to look at, there are plenty of people who want a hardcore look. That's why a new line of add-on cosmetic touches have just been made available through SEAT dealerships (UK announcement) under the name eon Sports Styling Kit.
Six individual components have been designed for the car and fit both the regular 5-door and the SC (SEAT didn't say anything about the ST). Each has been designed to work without the whole set, which is just as well considering the price of the components.

Starting with that we think will be the most popular part, a sports exhaust places oval pipes on either side of the rear valence. It's interesting to think you can have this in combination with a really small engine like the 1.2 TSI. This is the second cheapest part at just £480.

Also available are brand new front and rear bumpers, costing £1,500 and £975 respectively. They completely transform the look of the car and we think even the Cupra model can be shamed. Another Cupra-shaming element is the £645 side skirt set, since the flagship isn't sold with beefy bolsters.

In addition, the kit is complemented beautifully by a set of 19-inch Sports wheels, costing £999 available now in either black or silver. In fact, all the part prices include painting, fitting and are certified by SEAT, so you won't have any warranty problems.

As fake as a body kit for a vanilla hatch is, there's a very good reason for it. In some European markets, high taxes mean people often buy fully-specced cars with the smallest engine possible. There's also a huge market for SEAT Leon tuning which the company is now able to tap into.
