SEAT Donates Vehicles, Gets Involved in Education

The Spanish car manufacturer, SEAT is investing in the country's youth by providing vocational training centers with schooling materia. We are talking about 15 vehicles, which were donated in an official ceremony attended by SEAT’s Executive Vice-President for Human Resources, Ramon Paredes Sanchez-Collado; the Catalan government’s General Director for Vocational, Artistic and Specialized Teaching, Josep Francí i Carrete; the Lady Mayor of Martorell, Dora Ramon i Cabot, and the Head of the Training Centre of SEAT Manuel Moreno.

The government had to be there because only the vocational centers run by the Department of Education of the Catalan administration can benefit from the vehicles donated. Ramon Paredes commented on the issue: “SEAT’s commitment to the educational community, with quality training providing a cutting edge in competitiveness”.

He was backed by General Director for Vocational, Artistic and Specialized Teaching Josep Franci who said: “The agreement that we have reached with SEAT facilitates the training of specialized professionals in order to give an answer to the shortage of this kind of professionals. The continuous effort SEAT has made with the contribution of its vehicles during those years has benefited substantially the training and the development of future professionals in our country.”

The event took place in the SEAT Service building at Martorell, but this is not the first one of this kind, as SEAT is involved in this kind of activities since 1991, and has donated some 400 cars to educational centers so far.
