The new version of Seat’s first SUV, the Ateca, follows and off-road inspiration to bring a rugged look to the range. The exhibit is designed for the most adventurous customers of Seat’s third pillar of sales.

The automaker says that the Ateca is a sales hit, as it has already accumulated over 21,000 orders in just a few months after it was released.

The automaker's representatives also said that the Ateca had accumulated over 39 million web visits, along with an impressive 1.5 million configurations over the internet.

Evidently, not all that wanted to know more about the Ateca placed an order, but the Spanish brand owned by the Volkswagen Group sensed the interest for its first SUV, so it decided to develop the idea to the next level.

The Ateca X-Perience is reportedly inspired by the Mediterranean culture, and is an exercise in design that demonstrates the possibilities of this range. Seat says that this exhibit is not a production model, but we believe that it will become a reality in showrooms once it gathers sufficient interest from the public.

Seat designed the Ateca X-Perience following the same recipe it used to make the Leon X-Perience. The car comes with multiple driving modes, including one for Snow and another for Off-Road, which go on top of the existing ones that are available on the standard Ateca.

The off-road mode integrates a Hill Descent Control function, which is operated using the braking system, so that the motorist can concentrate on steering when going down a slope.

The rest of the transformation into an X-Perience model brought the Ateca a higher ground clearance, along with black plastic cladding for the bumpers, wheel arches, and side sills.

The supplementary ornaments also include matte silver elements to mimic metal. Seat made sure to include a new set of wheels, along with a matte khaki paint job.

The exhibit comes with a 2.0-liter TDI unit that develops 190 HP and a peak torque of 400 Nm (295 lb-ft). These values are more than enough to make the Ateca X-Perience a nice car on the road, and a capable one on gravel, considering it has a Haldex all-wheel drive system and a dual-clutch transmission.
