Scotty Kilmer Says You Shouldn't Buy a Used Mustang GT350, Calls the Bronco "Fake"
We can't have Ford Month without talking about reliability. Sure, the brand is one of the coolest in the world, but decades of recalls have somewhat tarnished its reputation. And taking advantage of that, one YouTube mechanic says some negative things about one of the coolest Mustangs ever.
We're talking about Scotty Kilmer, the YouTuber with a high-pitched voice who's often in a rush to tell you not to buy certain brands or models of car. In one of his Q&A clips, a viewer asked him about potentially picking up a Mustang Shelby GT350.

The GT350 is perhaps the most sports car-like out of the muscle cars, with an angry exterior and exotic-sounding V8 engine. Many people dream of owning one, but Scotty warns his viewer not to get the used 2017 model he wanted. According to the mechanic, you're going to pay more and be hit with higher insurance. Also, because the engine is so special, it might have hidden problems that aren't obvious at first.

His advice is to get a normal Mustang with a V8 because it should be cheaper and more reliable. While that could be true, we'd still have a GT350. Buying a sports car is not supposed to be a smart decision in the first place.

In a video released the very next day, Scotty bashes the Bronco for being fake. He's actually referring to the Bronco Sport with its "tiny little 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine." There's some fake sound pumped through the speakers, but this kind of technology is pretty common now, and we don't see what the big deal is.

In case you're bothered by Kilmer's rants... don't be. The YouTuber has almost 1.3 billion (yes, that's right) views, and that's due to his strict daily upload schedule. So he's got to find lots of negative things to say, even about cars from brands he likes, such as Ford.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
