If you’re going to do a pink burnout, it might as well be for a very special occasion. One Scottish couple used it for their gender reveal party, which family members all the way from Canada attended.
Ryan and Carla-Jane Fraser live in Lochgelly, Fife, and they both love cars. They have only sons, so when they found out they were about to add a baby girl to the family, they decided to go big with the announcement. So they found a way to include their love of cars in the announcement, Deadline News reports and the video at the bottom of the page confirms.

Ryan ordered a £115 tire from a Polish firm, filled with pink die. They knew that it would release pink smoke when he did a burnout with his Nissan 200 SX S13, which he boasts of building himself and likes to call a “Frankenstein car.”

The result was enough to wow the guests, many of whom didn’t know what to expect. They knew they were attending a gender reveal party, but they had no idea why they’d been asked to step out into the driveway and look on at Ryan at the wheel of his car.

Needless to say, they got their answer pretty soon. You can hear them exclaim “It’s a girl!” as pink smoke comes up from the back wheels, engulfing the car and then the entire driveway.

“It’s totally different, not a lot of people have done it, and that’s why we wanted to. The family is just full of boys, so when we found out we were having a girl we knew we had to make it special,” Ryan tells the publication. “We just told everyone to come to the house, I think they were expecting a cake or maybe something simple.”

“They certainly weren’t expecting me to be revving away in the drive and filling it with smoke,” Ryan adds. “There’s still a three foot circle of dye on my driveway, I’ve used petrol and everything on it to get it off, but some of it is still there.”

Ryan says this way of announcing a baby’s gender is right up his alley, since he loves cars so much. He’s lucky to have a very supportive wife, the kind that gets his awesome car parts for Christmas and that shares his passion, he admits.
