Aston Martin came out with the DBS Superleggera back in 2018 in order to combat the Ferrari 812 Superfast. While the former couldn’t quite match its Italian rival in terms of acceleration, the two luxury GTs are otherwise very similar.
Powering the Aston is a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. Power and torque outputs are rated at 715 hp (725 PS) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) respectively, allowing the DBS Superleggera to propel itself to 62 mph (100 kph) in just 3.4 seconds. While that’s half a second slower than the 812 Superfast, the two share the same top speed of 211 mph (340 kph).
Now that you’re probably gushing over the DBS Superleggera’s performance check out this brand new 2020 Coupe example we just found at O’Gara Coach in Beverly Hills. It features a stunning Scorpus Red exterior, Obsidian Black interior, and it has only been driven for 31 miles (50 km).
Landing this car will mean parting with $343,736, in return for which you also receive a multitude of features to make your time behind the wheel more enjoyable. Those include dual zone A/C, memory seats, sat-nav, 8-inch infotainment display, wireless phone connectivity, parking camera, adaptive suspension, 21-inch wheels five dual-spoke wheels, heated bucket seats, and leather upholstery as far as the eye can see.
This isn’t the absolute top specification as far as the DBS Superleggera is concerned, but it’s not far off either. So, could you do without carbon fiber on the center console, steering wheel, paddle shifters, and around the air vents? We don’t see why not.
With the right spec and the right colorway, we feel the DBS Superleggera is easily one of the best-looking supercars in the world, but whether it’s better or more beautiful than the 812 Superfast, that’s a really tough one to answer. Just today, maybe, we’ll take the Aston Martin.
