Scooter the Dog Rides the US Coast-to-Coast Eight Times, Raises Funds

Scootin America is a record-breaking initiative from entrepreneur and philanthropist Adam Sandoval, who wants to visit all the 696 Harley-Davidson dealerships in the lower states and, while at it, raise money for the American Legion Legacy Scholarship fund.

The American Legion Legacy Scholarship is a charity that seeks to provide the children of fallen soldiers with additional funds to support their college tuition.

The government offers these children just over $37,000, which is only a little more than half of what they really need in the most affordable college. With tuition costs steadily increasing yearly, the future of these children looks gloomy unless they receive help.

A fighter always fights

A fighter himself, Adam is a former MMA instructor. He sold all that could not fit on the bike, picked up his dog Scooter, and set off. His journey will take two years to complete and will see the rider and the dog crossing the Conus eight times from coast to coast, with more than 65,000 miles (104,585 km) of road covered.

Adam also seeks to break three world records in this epic journey; the world record for most miles in one country, the largest group ride, and the longest charity ride in history.

Scootin America accepts donations from everybody, individual and corporate sponsorship donations being equally welcome. Joining Adam and Scooter on the road is only $5 per day, with multiple sponsorship methods still available for non-riding folk, including becoming an official monthly sponsor for Scooter, for $25 a month (12-month commitment) and having the name hand painted on Adam's bike.

The fairing of the War Horse, the name of Adam's bike can be won by the sponsors, one entry drawing for every month of sponsorship. Of course, any other help you can provide will be much appreciated. Follow Adam and Scooter on the Scootin America Facebook page or on their website.
