When we usually hear about a hit and run, it's about a car driver in most of the cases. We also found out about some motorcycle riders fleeing from the sight, but this one is about a scooter rider.
To be honest we're having a rather hard time trying to figure out what was the guy thinking. For starters he was clearly the only one to blame for the crash: he literally darted from between the row of cars, not even bothering to check his sides first. Half a second earlier could have meant a terrible crash with extremely unpleasant consequences.
Some say he fled because of a potential DUI problem. Since the crash is happening in a former Soviet space (we vouch for it, as we saw a Staryi Melnik ad on a wall, and we know that beer), it would be small surprise the guy rode a bit boozed.
Others say the guy was most likely riding a stolen scooter and we tend to believe it was this way, especially since operators of stolen vehicles involved in a crash tend to flee in most of the cases.
