Scooped: Tony Stark's $9 Million Acura Supercar from The Avengers

If you’re a fan of superheroes and supercars at the same time, than you probably already know about the collaboration between the Marvel universe and the Acura brand. In the Thor movie, all the SHIELD agents had Acura sedans and SUV, but we really weren’t that convinced that it was a real marketing opportunity.

However, in the the upcoming Avengers movie where all the heroes will join forces, Tony Stark will swop his Audi R8 for what’s supposed to be sportscar built by Stark Industries. As you’ll probably have noticed by now, it’s actually the Acura NSX concept with no roof, but as a fictional car it sounds very cool.

At the Sundance Film Festival, Colider.com spotted Tony Stark’s new Acura displayed behind a closed-door setup and quickly snapped a few shots of the car and its very impressive specs. The supercar is supposed to be powered by a 80,000 TOHC 32-valve engine with titanium-forged block and nitrous fuel-injection system. This runs on palladium, the first element used by mr. Stark to run the core that kept him alive.

The vehicle is supposed to cost well over $9 million and comes with bullet- and foreign element-proof clear coat and metal skin, flares, a windscreen that does scans in the UV spectrum. and a palm-scan ID steering wheel. Oh, and it’s supposed to do 302 mpg highway.
