The Fiat Punto model sold in India is going to receive a major facelift by the end of the year. A photo scooped by local media shows the B-segment hatch following the latest Fiat design language and looking a lot like the new Ottimo compact, with oval grille and large chrome surrounds defining the are near the fog lights.
Changes also target the headlights of the car, which now have a teardrop design. The orange car sitting on its right is the new Avventura, a crossover which was previewed a few months ago as a concept at the New Delhi Auto Show. It features lifted suspension, a more rugged body and a large spare wheel mounted on the back. Sadly, there's no all-wheel drive.

Fiat has already announced four major debuts in 2014 for the Asia Pacific region yesterday: the Linea, the Ottimo, Punto and a crossover called the Avvntura, which is based on the Punto.

The Italian car brand's ambitions for the Asia Pacific region include boosting sales from the 70,000 units delivered in 2013 to 300,000 by the year 2018. A brand new Punto is also currently being developed and will go on sale three years from now.

The Fiat Punto has to be the most frequently redesigned car in the entire history of modern automobiles. It was originally unveiled in 2005 and since then underwent to major transformations. The 2009 model was called the Punto Evo and was followed in 2012 by another facelift called simply the Punto.
