Normal automakers design their cars in uniform, boring ways so that they appeal to a more general audience. Citroen on the other hand is all about putting the hazard button on the roof, headlights like jewels and to hell with people who want the windows to go up and down on (they don't on the DS4).
While we have plenty to complain about, there's no denying Citroen makes some of the most original cars in the world. The Chinese like original design and they also like the recent Wild Rubis Concept so much that Citroen is going to build it for them.

Citroen CEO Frederic Banzet spoke to Automotive News Europe and told them the sexy crossover concept which they showed at the Shanghai Auto Show earlier this year will enter production in about 18 months.

"The production model will be less radical than the Wild Rubis concept. For example, it will not sit on 21-inches wheels," Banzet added.

It's kind of a shame that the best thing about the Rubis, its design, is being diluted, but maybe Chinese customers value

The still unnamed concept could be called either the DS7 or the DSX7.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
