The xB is far from being Scion’s best selling model, and rumors of its cancelation have appeared before. Still, Toyota has updated it for the 2013 model-year, by giving it a mild styling and interior trim refresh. The boxy xB gets a restyled front bumper, with the now-common glossy black accents and integrated LED daytime running lights.
At the back, the rear bumper gets a faux-diffuser, which gives it a more purposeful stance, when viewed from behind. To complete the new exterior look, Scion is offering two new paint finishes, called Absolutely Red and Nautical Blue Metallic, the former being the one in the pictures below.

Inside, it gets new faux-metal trim pieces, to liven the interior up a bit, and a new audio system. Power comes from the same 2.4-liter engine, with 158 hp and 220 Nm of torque, which drives the front wheels through a standard five-cog manual transmission, or an ancient four-speed autobox. It gets from 0-62 mph in around nine seconds and achieves 22 mpg in town and 28 on the highway.

Pricing will start at $16,800, once it goes on sale in the US early next year.
