Scion has taken the FR-s to a playground that reminds us of the Japanese mountain roads where the drifting phenomenon began many years ago, in order to film the “Sport is Back” commercial for the vehicle.
This has been released in preparation for the FR-S’ market launch, which is scheduled for June 1. Want to try to guess what the vehicle is asked to do in the clip? Yes, you are right, drifting, albeit on the soft side.
Of course, the company couldn’t have just gone wild and sent the car flying through the mountains, but a little bit more “tail out” action would’ve been welcome, especially since Scion wants the promote the idea that the FR-S comes with a fun handling.
