Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ Tested by Detroit News

Maybe some of you thought to buy a Toybaru but haven’t figured out what’s the difference between the model offered by Toyota (Scion in the US) and the one from Subaru.
Well, both the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ got recently tested by Detroit News and regarding their performance, there is no major difference. Both are powered by the same 2-liter 200 hp boxer engine mated to manual transmission as standard. There are somehow rumors that the Scion FR-S (Toyota GT 86) handles just a bit better on the track due to its different suspension setup.

Other than that, there are minor styling and equipment differences, like the front grille, the standard navigation system on the BRZ, or the standard 8-speaker 300 W sound system on the FR-S.
