While the entire country celebrated Veterans Day on Tuesday, some celebrities in the Hollywood industry took their share of paying respects. As California’s ex-governor, Austrian-born American actor Arnold Schwarzenegger had his own way off showing his support for the Veterans.
The 67-year old Terminator star was seen driving his famous green Army Hummer as he went out for lunch in Brentwood, California. Arnold was showing off his support for the Veterans by rocking a camouflage shirt with an American Flag printed on it. As a matter a fact, that was not the only way he thought he’ll honor those who fought for freedom, but we’ll get to that a bit latter.

First of all, we’d like to talk about the car for a second. In case you missed our previous articles, then you probably don’t know that this particular huge machine is not really that big of an enemy to the environment as you’d think.

It's a green army Hummer, sort of

The Hollywood icon bought the first Hummer manufactured for civilian use in 1992, a model so large, at 6,300 lbs (2,900 kg) and 7 feet (2.1 m) wide, that it is classified as a large truck and U.S. fuel economy regulations do not apply to it. During the guvernatorial recall campaign he announced that he would convert one of his Hummers to burn hydrogen.

You see, Schwarzenegger has never been against big cars. Instead he has often stated people should be free to drive them and enjoy all-day jacuzzis without feeling bad about the environmental impact, as long as they know they can be part of the solution to changing the technology in the vehicle.

Now, getting back to the national festivity Americans celebrated on Tuesday, Schwarzenegger also posted a video on his Instagram account. We listed the clip bellow, just in case you missed it.

Thank you to all of our brave men and women in uniform on this Veteran's Day.
