Schumacher’s First F1 Championship Car for Sale on eBay

A piece of Formula One history is on sale on the world’s largest online marketplace, eBay, as Michael Schumacher’s first championship car has been put up for sale and the current bid is of 700,000 euros ($987,980).

However, according to automotto.org, bidding ends on August 20, so there is still time to check your bank accounts, empty your pockets and place your bid.

This is how the seller advertises this 1994 Benetton-Ford Formula One Race Car:

"The car with wich Michael Schumacher did his first F1-championship in the year 1994.

At the last race in Adelaide Michael Schumacher in this Benetton-Ford had a collision with Damon Hill in his Williams-Renault, after both of them did not finish their race and Michael could use his one-point-leadership to get the driver's championship.

Car configuration, motorization such as panting and sponsoring scheme as at the Grand Prix of Australia:

  • Ford-Cosworth 3.6 litre Zetec-R V8 engine
  • sponsoring incl. the now banned tobacco advert
  • painting in at that time scheme
  • vehicle in racing condition"

Michael Schumacher’s name has been on everyone’s lips since Felipe Massa’s accident. Unfortunately, the 7-time world champion has recently confirmed that he will no longer replace Felipe Massa in the Ferrari F60 cockpit due to neck pain, but he will continue to work hard in order to get in shape.
