Schumacher Receives Positive Verdict from Doctors

Michael Schumacher is currently enjoying his Christmas holidays skiing in the French Alps with his family. That's a fact. Back in Germany (and the UK) however, the media has more material on the 40-year old's potential return to Formula One. Following Luca di Montezemolo's statement last weekend, Schu's manager now stepped in for more info.

As revealed by several reports last week, Schumacher's return to the series was conditioned by his doctors' verdict, as the German is still recuperating from his neck fractures suffered in February this year. However, according to manager Willi Weber, “a recent medical check with his sports doctor Johannes Peil showed Michael Schumacher to be in a high state of health,” as reported by the GMM news agency.

Michael is super-fit. Dr Peil said he has made giant progress," said manager Willi Weber, according to Cologne newspaper Express.

Recently, Michael Schumacher's father told the media that his son is training “like crazy.” However, even with the go-ahead from his doctors, Schu is still scheduled to do some track tests in order to figure out if he is really capable of returning to F1 or not. A report last week suggested that Mercedes GP already talked to the Abu Dhabi officials in order to secure Schu a track test with a GP2 machinery.

In addition to announcing his client's great physical shape, Weber also dismissed recent reports that he'll no longer handle Schumacher's career once the German driver will sign a deal with Mercedes GP.

Rubbish. To say I will not be Michael's manager any more is completely invented. Absolute nonsense,” responded Weber, according to the GMM news agency.
