The head of the Mercedes F1 racing team, Ross Brawn, has recently acknowledged the possibility that Michael Schumacher could join the team’s management team, if he decides to retire from his active career as a driver.

Now, Schumacher still stands by his decision to leave making plans for October, despite the fact that Mercedes F1 officials say they have yet to finalize the 2013 line-up. Still, Ross Brawn is the boss, and at a recent meeting held in Italy, he said, regarding the move, that "It is possible [. . .] In terms of what role Michael would play in the future, we are not discussing that in detail because that is not a consideration at the moment, but Michael's experience of motor racing, and his judgement and so on, would be an asset to any team [. . .] I am not sure he wants a day-to-day commitment that some of us do, but he would like to stay involved. He loves the sport, he loves racing, and he loves developing the cars, and seeing how the team works [. . .] I can full well see in the future that he would retain a strong interest and that will come one day, and I do hope it will be with us."

We are not sure how well a management role would fit with Schumi’s style, but he would probably do a very good job there as well - not as good as his driving hay day, but still a good job.
