Speaking about his fitness programme a few days ago, the 40-year old German revealed he lost almost 3 kg during the past week but also admitted his neck pain has not disappeared. Schu fell off his motorcycle during a German Superbike test at Cartagena (in February this year) and, although he was given the proper medical care, it seems he hasn't made a complete recovery.
“I only have to admit that my neck pinches a bit. We have to get a grip on that as health has priority - that's the clear arrangement made with Ferrari and, by the way, with my wife, too,” said Schumacher on his personal website a few days ago.
However, while simply an easy-to-overlook piece of information for his fans, the news was given an extra amount of importance by Schumacher's very spokeswoman Sabine Kehm. Talking to German television ZDF earlier today, she admitted there is still a high level of concern regarding Schumacher's official return at Valencia.
“It is not quite certain yet that his neck will hold and the comeback can be started. (His debut at Valencia) depends on medical investigations,” revealed Kehm.
According to Schumacher's long-time manager Willi Weber, the fans (and the Scuderia, for that matter) will be given a final response on this matter next week, after all the necessary tests will have been concluded and examined properly. Until then, the ticketing process at Valencia can go on undisturbed.
