Schumacher Has Lunch with Massa in Ferrari's Motorhome

Felipe Massa was all smiles during the first 2 days of testing on the Valencia circuit this week, as the Brazilian driver mastered the elements on both Monday and Tuesday at the wheel of Ferrari's 2010 challenger. Additionally, however, Massa had another reason to be happy, as it appears he was joined by his former teammate and good friend Michael Schumacher at yesterday's lunch.

When grabbing something to eat at the lunch break between the two testing sessions, Massa was joined in the Ferrari motorhome by Schumacher. When asked about the things that they've talked about, the Brazilian put the emphasis on the Scuderia's culinary assets.

What we said to each other? Nothing in particular. We're friends and we're talking quite often to each other: today I think he was just homesick for our motor home, because we have the better food here than anywhere else in the world of Formula One,” joked Massa.

Later on, Ferrari issued a statement regarding the second day of testing on the Ricardo Tormo circuit, in which it included the aforementioned episode.

During the lunch break Felipe received an unexpected visitor: Michael Schumacher. The German driver couldn’t resist the Italian cuisine and wanted to taste a plate of Spaghetti aglio, olio and peperoncino prepared by the Scuderia’s chef Carmine,” said the press release from the Scuderia.

Now that he feasted in Ferrari's back yard, Schumacher will hope to dethrone the Scuderia from the top of the timing reports, as he'll test his new Mercedes W01 for the entire Wednesday in Valencia. Fernando Alonso is also expected to debut in the Ferrari F10 today, for the last day of running on the Spanish track.
