Amid rumors that his fastest lap at the Spanish track was achieved in low-fuel conditions and while running on super-soft tires, Schumacher once again insisted that only in Bahrain people will get to see the true worths of the 2011-spec challengers. However, as far as Mercedes is concerned, he admitted that battling for the world title will be difficult.
“Only the first race in Bahrain will show us exactly what our situation is,” said Schu, according to sport1.de. “We are Mercedes and our goal is clear,” he added, while hinting that “it will be difficult to achieve our goal this year but we have a vision that is not only short term.”
