Schuberth will introduce a brand new helmet model at the upcoming 2014 AIMExpo show in mid-October. At the same time, Schuberth North America says that the existing helmet line-up will receive graphics updates and new color options will also become available.
Still, no hint on what type of helmet will be unveiled was provided. The only official information came from Randy Northrup, the Vice President of Schuberth North America. He described the new lid as “another outstanding Schuberth product that is something completely new for our line and customer base,” but there’s no telling whether Schuberth will surface a full-face, a modular, or perhaps another type of lid.

From the similar declarations Northrup made, it looks like Schuberth is planning to enter a completely new category of products. I could speculate that the new lid will either be a hybrid one which will transform from a full-faced helmet into a jet one or one similar to the Bell Rogue or Shark Streetfighter.

These two models have introduced a new trend in the industry and both of them have received quite a warm welcome from the customers, most likely because the protection they offer was better than what the popular summer braincaps usually come with.

The 2014 AIMExpo will be open to media and dealers October 16-17, while access to the general public will be possible on October 18-19, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
