The new Schuberth E1 adventure helmet was previewed last year in the US at the AIMExpo, with the release period being then estimated for "spring 2016," but with no exact date mentioned. Well, the spring is here, and so is the Schuberth E1, now available at dealers all over the world.
Schuberth made quite a name for themselves by designing and engineering motorcycle helmets that provided both top-notch protection and good looks, while being packed with the latest technologies in the segment. So, it's no surprise to learn that the new E1 lid follows in those steps.

One of the coolest features of the Schuberth E1 is the new visor. It may look like the ordinary adv helmet visor, but it can, in fact, move with the entire face shield and chin bar. Or, it can be adjusted in no less than three positions that are completely independent, adding a lot to the overall comfort and functionality of the bike.

Of course, it can also be removed, turning the lid into a street one. Even the face shield can be removed allowing the use of goggles.

E1 also comes with a dual chin vent, with its upper zone directing air toward the top of the chin bar and face shield, while the lower port channels air towards the rider's face. Various opening degrees allow riders to set the lid as they wish.

Inside the helmet, a complex air duct network makes sure that venting keeps the rider cool and as dry as possible during long hauls. Face shields in multiple tints are available, and matching sun visors can be ordered with the Schuberth E1 as well.

The inside of the helmet is made of Coolmax and Öko-Tex 100 fabrics that are easily removable and washable. The Schuberth E1 comes in sizes XS through 3XL, and is "stable in the wind, without pendulum effect, lift, or buffeting and is extremely quiet." The spoiler enhances the aerodynamics and also reduces the noise.

Schuberth E1 is available in both flat colors and adv graphic schemes, and is ready for the SRC System Pro communication kit. In Europe, the lid is supposed to retail for €649-729 in flat or hunter schemes, while the US should have it for $829-889.
