As enough of you can exemplify with the help of their desks, scale models come in a pleasing variety of shapes and sizes, but we've recently come across a development that seems truly worthy for the "our of the ordinary" label and it all has to do with your office and the world of Formula One.
French scale model producer AutoArt obviously needs to build the wheels for its "cars", but these guys appear to have gotten the round virus. Thus, the idea was expanded to 1:1 scale Formula One car wheels, with the result being a pleasing one, as you can see in the gallery below.

Of course, such wheels can't be used on an actual car, so what are they good for?

The answer is office furniture. You can have one of these in your office and use it to store your umbrella, for example. Of course, you could always get four and strap them to the bed, but your SO probably wouldn't see that as the most mature move, would she?

Interestingly enough, the umbrellas used by the company appear to have handles shaped like gear shifters, so you'll never have to feel like carrying one around is an annoying task. Heck, given the rate at which manuals are loosing ground, such umbrellas might even be some of the last gear shifters you can own in a decade from now.

AutoArt appears to offer three finishes for its office furniture, from the classic Silver to Golf (perhaps for the extroverts) and Black (bad boy-approved).

We're usually greedy when it comes to developments such as this one and right now all we can think about is a fresh use for a suspension scale model.
