Scala Rider G4 Software Upgrade Now Available

The team at Cardo Systems has just announced the release of its 'Cardo Upgrades' application along with its latest software version for the scala rider G4 and the scala rider G4 PowerSet, the company’s Bluetooth motorcycle intercom headset. The good news is that registered users can download the software for free by accessing the following link.

The 2.2 version includes pre-setting radio stations, RDS and VOX control - disable / enable functions and Status Announcement language settings, among others.

The scala rider G4 is said to be the first Bluetooth headset to offer group intercom between up to three riders as well as communication among two riders and their two passengers on two bikes at distances up to one mile.

Encased in a streamlined waterproof and dustproof shell, the device has an user-friendly interface and a host of additional features meant to enhance riding experience. These features include a noise canceling microphone and weather-resistant design. It can be connected to mobile phones, MP3 players and compatible GPS units, as well as with on-Bluetooth MP3 players, GPS units via its embedded jack.

Moreover, taking advantage of A2DP, the latest Bluetooth stereo music transfer technology, the G4 can receive CD-quality music from any MP3 player with A2DP capability. The device also has the capability of making spoken status announcements, telling users to whom or to which device they are connected to.

According to the manufacturer, the scala rider G4 fits virtually all 3/4 and full-face helmets and can be self-installed in five minutes. The product has a retail price of $279.95 for a single scala rider G4 unit or $489.95 for two factory-paired units in the scala rider G4 PowerSet package.
