Today's racing games are incredibly well-developed and are capable of providing a shockingly realistic atmosphere, even if they require a huge amount of hardware resources. But even so, playing a racing game without the suitable equipment may be a simple waste of time. Well, in case you're addicted to racing games at least as much as we are, meet the MultiDrive RS Driving Simulator, a new device designed and sold by Liberty Games.

Although the title of this “gadget” isn't too self-explanatory, its main idea is that you can play your favorite racing game, no matter if it was specifically designed for a certain platform, just like you'd drive your personal car. The differences? It doesn't ask for fuel or oil changes, the engine sound comes from a 5.1 audio system while the driving experience is perfectly simulated by the steering wheel feedback support and by the pressurized clutch, brake and gas pedals.

Now let's get to some tech details. The MultiDrive RS Driving Simulator is a full-featured simulator which comes with a pre-mounted steering wheel with gear shift, pedals and, one of the most important parts, a 5.1 surround system plus a powerful sub-woofer. Beside all of these, the Simulator has a sports, fully-adjustable driving seat mounted straight on the red-painted chassis which allows you to drive your NFS Carbon Alfa Romeo as comfortable as possible.

Depending on the version you choose, the package also includes a 26- or 32-inch wide-screen HD ready monitor that could be easily mounted on the chassis. And talking about versions, the MultiDrive RS Driving Simulator comes in several variants, depending on the compatibility with various platforms: the standard model, which only includes the chassis, the Xbox 360, the Playstation 3 and the PC version.

Unfortunately, the price is not one of the aspects to be praised because all the versions, excepting the standard ones, can be purchased for no less than 2995 pounds (3770 euros).
