The eMX (Eco Motoring Experience) concept will form the basis for the future Samsung SM3 sedan, a vehicle meant for the markets in Asia and Oceania. The concept was developed with the aid of Renault and it involved some 400 engineers from Renault-Samsung facilities in Japan, France and South Korea, caranblog.com reported.
The concept makes use of a 2.0l turbocharged engine, capable of putting out 205 horsepower, the same powerplant Renault uses on the GT version of Laguna. The engine is said to turn into a 2.0l naturally aspired engine for the series version, which will develop less power (estimated at 136 horsepower), currently used on the Samsung SM3 and the Nissan Bluebird Sylphy.
The manufacturer did not release any other details about the eMX concept, but with the Seoul Motor Show opening its doors on April the second, there are sure more information to follow.
Samsung and other exhibitors will have a lot more floor space for themselves at this year's edition, as in early February US manufacturers GM and Chrysler joined BMW, Nissan and Volvo and said they will not attend the event.
