Saleen Automotive, who recently announced plans to start selling its musclecars in China via GreenTech Automotive (GTA), will showcase its current lineup of vehicles at the Beijing Auto Show next week.
The California-based automaker will display four vehicles in Beijing, including the Saleen S7, the White Label SpeedLab Yellow Challenger, the Black Label Lizstick Red Mustang, and the 30th Anniversary Pearl White Camaro.
Saleen says that the Challenger, the Mustang and the Camaro have already been sold to Chinese customers, while the S7 supercar, no longer in production since 2004, will be up for grabs during the event.
"We are very pleased to bring our vehicles to this massive show and car-crazy audience," said Steve Saleen, CEO, Saleen Automotive. "Interest in our cars from China and Asia in general has always been strong. It is no surprise that we've sold the three display vehicles already and 800,000 car lovers are going to get to see our best live from the convention floor."
"This is in connection with our partners GreenTech, and we thank them for their valued support in bringing Saleen Automotive to the Asian continent," he added.
The 2014 Beijing Auto Show is scheduled to kick off on April 20 and will accept visitors through April 29.
The company has yet to announce the name of the vehicles that will become available in China, but its local offensive should include numerous Ford Mustang-, Dodge Challenger-, and Chevrolet Camaro-based musclecars.
In addition, the Saleen Tesla Model S, the company’s first electric car, is expected to hit Chinese showrooms as well.
