After recently imagining a Porsche 935 replica in CGI-to-reality form, the virtual artist tucked behind the Hakosan Designs digital label on social media comes with yet another modern Ferrari reinterpretation, this time around of triple digital “GTX” value.
Following up on a forged carbon fiber Ferrari “FX355” that was envisioned as a street-legal monster that is even good for casual, romantic dates, might seem a little hard to achieve. But the outrageous imagination of virtual automotive artists knows no boundaries, even where Prancing Horses are concerned. Case in point, here is a trio of examples involving the fresh Ferrari 296 GTB plug-in hybrid thoroughbred.

Earlier this month, an unsuspecting 296 two-door berlinetta was first considered as a GT3 and even with a rally passion “but in the end, the obsession with the FXX-K won.” And so, the GTB turned into the track-exclusive “GTX” beast with 960 horsepower. Its return to a full ICE lifestyle, plus “much more aggressive aerodynamics” and the racing livery signaled this lightweight digital machine (around 1,000 kgs – that’s just 2,205 lbs.) would be “ready to take the record on any track.”

It sure looked feisty, but maybe it was not outrageous enough for the purist crowd to run amuck crying aloud their misery. No worries, that happened next, as the 296 then turned into the “GTX-R” adventurer that can take on “the most hostile environments on the planet, thanks to its elevated and reinforced chassis and all-wheel drive with a hybrid system of 850hp, making it a unique mud beast.” Sure enough, this has the makings of a huge sacrilege, right?

But then again, every Hollywood franchise usually ends up as a trilogy, and so it happened to be the case with this virtual reality project, as well. The conclusion of the Ferrari 296 GTX, quite fitting, is now looking a bit tamer (though not by much) than its siblings but is nonetheless ready to hit the virtual streets and “put on a (big) show.” This time around, though, there are no pony-count hints so we can presume anything we can dream of…
