It seems that the Saab story is still not settled, despite the fact that National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) were supposed to have already closed the deal. However, according to saabsunited.com, this is not the case, as the complete taking over is still one month (or more) away.
NEVS officials have said that the deal will be completed “this summer”. This means that work on the Saab 9-3-based EV is probably not even underway - they have not given a deadline for its launch, so we can’t accuse them of postponing anything, yet. Let’s just hope that NEVS is the right company for the job.
We hope that the deal does go through so that Saab can finally be reborn as an EV manufacturer, just like ‘the plan’ said. Hopefully, after the whole bankruptcy thing is settled, NEVS can finally start to deliver on their promise.
