As rumored about a month ago, Swedish automaker Saab has resumed production of the 9-3 sedan, now under NEVS ownership, at its Trollhattan facility.
According to Saabs United, the first pre-production 9-3 built in the new National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) era has rolled off the production line during an internal event which gathered company management and special guests.

The silver number one NEVS Saab was built as the old version of the 9-3 in order to test new components and calibrate production line system. The facelift version of the 9-3 will be introduced by NEVS at a later date, with sales of four-door sedans and two-door convertibles to commence next year.

Saab has yet to reveal further details about its “new” vehicles, but news should kick in as soon as assembly of production models begins.
