The Swedish automaker’s last move related to this comes from its UK division, which announced that it has been relocated to new offices. Saab GB will be based at Martell House in the Cranfield Technology Park, in the proximity of the Cranfield University in Milton Keynes. The location fits with Saab’s aerospace heritage, as the institution is one of the leading postgraduate centers for technology, engineering and aerospace.
Saab considers this to be an important step in the journey to reorganize as a company owned by Spyker Cars (the Swedish brand was acquired by Spyker in May this year).
Saab is currently betting on the 9-5 saloon to draw the public’s attention, with the vehicle having received a positive response from the press and customers. Saab GB is preparing to launch an important advertising campaign for the car in the following weeks.
“We are very excited - moving into our new head offices is an important milestone in the separation process and for the future of an independent Saab GB. Following the initial sale of Saab Automobile to Spyker Cars in February and the subsequent completion of the sale of Saab GB in late May, we have been busy recruiting a new independent Saab GB team as well as completing the relocation to our new offices,” said Jonathan Nash, Managing Director of Saab GB.
“We have also welcomed the arrival of the all new Saab 9-5 saloon into our dealer showrooms and successfully launched the vehicle to the UK press with critical acclaim,” the executive added.
