Saab Automobile Parts AB to Operate Independently

Following the recent acquisition of Saab by the misleadingly-named National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS), a newly-formed company half owned by Chinese investors and half owned by Japanese investors, being ‘Swedish’ only by name, another big chunk of the old Saab block has been set adrift under its own steam.
We are, of course, talking about Saab Automobile Parts AB, which is, as its name suggests, the (now former) branch of the company which handled the production and supply chains of original Saab parts for various dealers around the world. The UK gets its own genuine parts supplier, in the form of Saab Parts UK (a separate entity), which supplies the 88-strong Saab dealership and service network for the country’s roughly 188,000 registered Saabs still on UK roads.

So, Saab owners around the world can relax and enjoy their cars for years to come knowing that if something goes wrong, there’s always a dealership more than happy to repair the fault using original parts. We do wonder, though, if Saab are now planning on only building EVs, will they be serviced at the same dealerships, or will the EVs get 'special dealerships treatment'?
