Saab Announces New UK Pricing for 9-3 Range

Saab GB, the official importer for the UK market, has announced the prices and specifications for the new and improved 2012 model year 9-3 model range which goes on sale at dealerships next month. There are two trim levels available, SE and Aero, both with automatic dimming mirrors inside and outside the vehicle, electric folding mirrors and automatic rain sensor wipers as standard, representing a customer saving of £400.

All the model year upgrades on offer come with new interior and exterior enhancements, increased standard specification, powerful twin turbo diesel and petrol engines, low CO2 emissions and impressive fuel economy, customers will find the 9-3 range even more attractive than before.

“We are very confident that the 9-3 range will be a great success in the UK and will appeal to motorists wanting a high performance, low emissions vehicle, with high levels of standard equipment and competitive pricing,” Charles Toosey, Managing Director at Saab GB, said in a release.

Under the bonnet, two new 2.0-liter petrol turbo engines produce either 163 hp or 220 hp and include direct injection, variable valve timing and twin-scroll turbocharging. Both of these engines will be available with a six-speed manual and automatic transmission. In terms of CO2 per unit of horsepower, the new manual 220hp 2.0-litre petrol 9-3 Aero Saloon and SportWagon emit below 160g/km.

The base model 2.0 saloon, equipped with a petrol engine and 6-speeed manual, comes in at £21,495 OTR in the SE trim level. Prices for the petrol-powered version can go as high as £33,550 for the 2.0 T XWD Convertible Aero with an Automatic 6-speed gearbox.

Te diesel range comes with a 1.9-liter engine with 3 power outputs (130 hp, 160 hp and 180 hp) and a base price of £22,495.
