Last week we showed you the first spy photos of the Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG Coupe (C 217), which will be the replacement for the current CL 63 AMG (C 216). Now it's time to check out a spy video of the S 500 Coupe while being trashed on the famed Norschleife section of Nurburgring.
We know it's a 500 model because the V8 sound is clearly audible, and the only other V8 in the future S-Class coupe range will be the 63 AMG version, which has different exhaust tips, wheels and body kit.

Just like its sedan brother, the S 500 Coupe will sport a 4.7-liter twin turbocharged V8 that offers 455 hp and 700 Nm (516 lb ft) of torque, which should be enough to give the large coupe an acceleration time of just 4.7 seconds from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph), some 0.1 seconds faster than the sedan.

Set to be unveiled along with the V12 S 600 version in both sedan and coupe form at the North American International Auto Show, the S 500 Coupe C 217 will also borrow all the technology introduced by the W222 S-Class, while its overall design will be at least 90% derived from the Concept S-Class Coupe.
