We usually like reading Motor Trend car reviews, and some of us were even subscribers of the magazine back when we were still reading print media.
You can imagine we were also waiting for their Mercedes-Ben S 63 AMG review since all major publications were invited to the media launch of the car and, well, Motor Trend is a major publication.
Unfortunately, even though we're also fans of Jonny Lieberman's writing, his S 63 AMG review is not something we would have expected from a professional car reviewer.
We don't even know where to start from. Maybe from the fact that he repeatedly talked about driving the S Model version of the S 63 AMG, making it sound like there's also a lesser model in the range, when that is clearly not true.
Also, when talking about the model's steering he compares it with that of the Chrysler 300, saying that the Chrysler's better. We thought it was common knowledge that the Chrysler 300 is based on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class W210 platform with steel suspension instead of aluminium and other low-cost modifications, so we highly doubt it has better steering than an AMG-tuned modern Mercedes-Benz.
Until we put our own S 500 W222 review up on our test drive section, you can read the not-so-great Motor Trend S 63 AMG review here.
