S 63 AMG Gets Reviewed by Australia's Drive

The newly-introduced Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG W222 is the fastest S-Class in history. Publicly unveiled for the first time at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show, the new top gun in the AMG sedan range has also recently had its press launch in Austria.

The Drive publication from down under were also invited to test the uber-sedan and were kind enough to inform everyone of how much of an impression the S 63 AMG left on them.

They were obviously a bit disappointed for the car not arriving with the optional 4Matic all-wheel drive system in Australia, which shaves no less than 0.4 seconds from the already good 4.4 seconds time from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph). Then again, so should the British and all other right-hand drive countries of the world.

On the upside, the rear-wheel drive version of the S 63 AMG is obviously much more hoonable on one thing and also gets the optional Magic Body Control system, which can't be fit on the 4Matic version. You can read the entire Drive review of the car here.
