The 63 AMG version of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe was spied for the first time last week, doing some road testing in what appeared to be Spain.
A week later, a different prototype of the same AMG version was caught by a different spy photographer in Germany, only this time you can check out the full AMG bodykit underneath that heavy camouflage if you squint your eyes for a bit.

As we were saying last week, the S 63 AMG Coupe will share the evolution of the M157 twin-turbocharged engine with the S 63 AMG sedan.

This means that 585 hp and a tire-torturing 900 Nm (664 lb ft) of torque will be put to good use by either a rear-wheel drive version of the all-wheel drive 4Matic variant.

Thanks to a slightly lower mass compared to the sedan, the S 63 AMG Coupe will accelerate from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.3 seconds standard, while the 4Matic all-wheel drive version (standard in the US, optional in most of the world and not available in right-hand drive markets, sadly) will reach the same speed in just 3.9 seconds, each figure being 0.1 seconds lower than the S 63 AMG sedan.

If the non-AMG versions of the CL-replacement will arrive at the upcoming North American International Auto Show in January 2014, then the 63 and 65 AMG versions will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2014.
